What Would Happen to Earth?
Right now, Venus is the closest planet to the Sun, and it's really hot, like being inside an oven. Mars, on the other hand, is farther away and chilly, like being outside in winter without a coat.
If Venus moved to Mars' spot, it would be much farther from the Sun. That means Venus would get cold, maybe even too cold for its thick clouds to stay cozy. Earth might feel a little cooler too, because Venus wouldn't be baking as much anymore.
At the same time, Mars would move closer to the Sun, like getting a warm hug from the fire. It might start warming up and could even get some new weather, maybe even rain! Earth might feel warmer too, because Mars is now a bit of a "sun lover."
So it's like swapping your hot soup for a cold drink, things would be different for everyone in the solar system! Imagine Venus and Mars took a giant leap and swapped places, just like trading toys at playtime!
Examples
