The Sun is like a giant flashlight. If it disappeared, it would be dark here on Earth, but we wouldn’t feel the change right away. Light from the Sun takes about 8 minutes to reach us, so we’d still have light for a little while longer. But after that, it would get really cold and dark, like being in space.
