Imagine if all your friends suddenly stopped playing their favorite game at the same time, what would happen?
If everyone quit their jobs at exactly the same time, it would be like a giant version of that game ending all at once. Most people work to earn money so they can buy food, clothes, and toys (or whatever they need). If no one was working, there wouldn’t be any new money being made, just like if no one was collecting points in the game.
What Would Happen to Money?
Money is like a toy that gets passed around. When you work, you get paid, which means more money goes into the system. But if everyone stopped working, there would be no new toys (or money) coming in, only the ones already out there.
What Would Happen to Businesses?
Businesses need people to keep them running. If no one was buying things or working in stores, factories, or restaurants, those businesses might not be able to stay open very long. It would be like if all your friends stopped playing with you, the game wouldn’t last very long either!
So, even though it would be a fun surprise at first, after a while, everyone would need to find new ways to play, and maybe even start working again!
