What happened after the military ended its flu vaccine mandate?

It was like a big group of kids suddenly being allowed to choose their own snacks at lunchtime, no more having to eat whatever the teacher picked.

The military had made all its members get a flu vaccine, kind of like how sometimes your school makes you wear a certain uniform. But when that rule ended, it was like saying, "Okay, you can pick what you want now."

Some people were happy and immediately got vaccinated, they’re like the kids who always grab extra cookies and don’t mind the sugar rush.

Others took their time, maybe even waited to see if the vaccine would work well for everyone before getting it themselves. They’re like the kids who try one snack first and then decide what they want later.

A few people didn’t get vaccinated at all, they’re like the kids who finally get to choose snacks but pick fruit instead of cookies because they're trying something new.

It was a fun change, like going from having to wear the same shirt every day to being able to wear whatever you wanted on Monday. Some people liked it right away, and others took their time figuring out what worked best for them.
