Like a Growing Plant
Imagine you have a little plant in a pot. Sometimes, it grows really tall quickly, like when you water it every day. Other times, it might not grow much at all, like when you forget to water it for a week.
When we say something adjusts their growth, it's like that plant changing how fast it grows depending on what happens around it. Maybe the plant gets more sunlight and starts growing faster, or maybe it doesn’t get enough nutrients and slows down.
Like You Growing
You can think of it like you growing too! If you eat a lot of healthy food, you might grow taller faster, like when you have extra snacks. But if you don’t eat much, you might not grow as fast. So your body adjusts its growth based on what you eat and how much you play.
Sometimes it’s like going up or down a slide, sometimes you go fast, sometimes slow, but you’re still moving forward!
