Buddhists believe that life is full of ups and downs, and that people can find peace by understanding why things change.
Imagine you have a toy that you really love. Sometimes it works perfectly, but other times it breaks or doesn’t do what you want. That’s kind of like how life feels to Buddhists, sometimes happy, sometimes sad. They believe the reason for all this changing is something called suffering, and it happens because we get attached to things, people, or even ideas.
What Makes People Suffer?
Buddhists think that when you really want something and then it changes, like your favorite toy breaks, it can make you feel sad or frustrated. They believe this is part of a bigger cycle called the wheel of life, where we keep going from happiness to sadness again and again.
How Can You Find Peace?
Buddhists believe that by learning about how things change, and by letting go of what we’re attached to, we can feel more calm inside. It's like if your toy breaks, instead of getting upset, you could just say, "Oh, it’s okay, I’ll find a new one." That’s the beginning of peace in Buddhism.
