What Causes the ‘Wettest’ Places on Earth?

The wettest places on Earth get a lot of rain because they're in special spots where weather patterns meet. Imagine two big storms running into each other and causing continuous rain, that’s what happens there! It feels like it never stops raining.

Some parts of the world are lucky enough to sit right where warm, wet air from the ocean meets cold, dry air from above. This meeting creates a powerful storm that brings huge amounts of rain all year round. Like when two kids bump into each other in the playground, it causes a big mess!

One of these special places is called Cherrapunji, where it rains so much, some people say it looks like the sky is crying every day!
