Diamonds sparkle because they bend and reflect light in special ways. When light hits a diamond, it goes inside the diamond and bounces around before coming back out. This makes the diamond shine like magic! It's kind of like when you shine a flashlight into a glass of water, it makes the water look shiny too.
Examples
- A diamond looks like a tiny disco ball shining in the sunlight.
- When you move a diamond under a lamp, it flashes different colors.
- Diamonds on a ring look even more magical when they catch the light from a window.
