Empires are like big, strong buildings. They get built when people work together, but they fall apart if things go wrong, like if there's not enough food or too many enemies. Sometimes empires grow too big and can't control everything anymore.
Examples
- An emperor starts a war to take more land, but his people are too tired and hungry to keep fighting.
- A big empire has many different groups who don’t all like each other, soon they start fighting among themselves.
- The weather gets colder and the crops fail, food becomes scarce, and people begin to rebel.
