The Northern Lights move because of invisible energy from the Sun. When the Sun sends out a big burst of charged particles, they zoom through space and hit Earth’s magnetic field. This makes the air above us light up, like magic! And when the wind in space changes, it makes the lights twirl and jump around.
Examples
- It's like when a gust of wind makes a curtain flutter, the Northern Lights move because invisible winds from space are causing them to shift.
- If the sky were made of paint, the solar wind would be like a brush stirring the colors into motion.
