Hunger is like a little bell inside your body that rings when it needs food.
Your body has special messengers called hormones that tell your brain when you’re hungry or full. One of them, called ghrelin, works like a tiny drummer, it starts tapping when your stomach is empty, and that’s how your brain knows to ask for food.
When you eat, your stomach fills up, and another hormone, leptin, steps in like a sleepy friend who says, “I’m full, let’s rest.” This tells your brain it's time to stop eating.
Imagine your body is like a magical kitchen. When the ingredients (food) run low, the kitchen sends out a signal, that’s hunger! When the kitchen is full and happy, it says, “No more, thank you!”, that’s fullness.
So, every time you eat, your body is having a little chat with itself to decide when it needs food again. It's like a team of tiny chefs working together to keep you strong and happy!
