It's like trying to listen to your favorite song when someone is talking loudly nearby, it’s hard to focus on what you want to hear.
Imagine your brain is a toy box full of different toys. When everything is calm, you can pick one toy and play with it, which means you can concentrate easily. But if the room gets noisy, like a big party, all the other toys start making sounds too, and it's hard to know which one to choose.
That’s what happens when there are lots of things going on around you or inside your head, like thoughts, worries, or even hunger, it's like having a loud party in your toy box. Your brain gets confused and can't pick just one thing to focus on.
What Makes the Party Louder?
Sometimes, sleep is short, like not getting enough time to put all your toys back in the box. Or maybe you're tired from playing too long, that's like having a party every day without rest.
Other times, things like noise, bright lights, or even being too excited can make the party bigger and harder to manage. Your brain needs quiet to pick out what it wants to focus on.
