Why does liquid get trapped?
Imagine your face is a sponge, it can soak up water, which is like the liquid in your body. When you drink a lot of soda, eat salty snacks, or go to bed with a glass of milk, your body sends more water to your face.
This extra water makes your skin feel soft and bumpy, just like when you soak up water after playing in the pool, and your clothes feel heavy and puffy.
What about sleep?
Sometimes, being tired or sleeping too much can make your face puff up. It's like a pillow that gets squished all day and then expands when it’s finally time to rest!
So, if your face feels puffy, it might be because your body is sending more water there, just like a balloon getting bigger after you add more air!
