Sometimes people become cult leaders because they seem like superheroes to others. Imagine if you were really lost, and someone showed up who seemed to know everything, that’s how it starts! People start believing in them so much that they follow them everywhere, even when the leader isn't perfect.

A person becomes a cult leader when people feel like they're the only one who can help. They might say amazing things or do cool stuff that looks magical. Over time, people begin to believe everything about them, and that's how a whole group of followers forms around just one person.
