What are words or phrases?

A word is like a building block you use to make sentences, and a phrase is like a group of blocks working together to build something fun.

What is a Word?

Imagine you have a toy box full of different toys, each toy is like a word. A word can be a person (like "dog"), an action (like "run"), or even something you see (like "blue"). Just like how one toy by itself is simple, a single word on its own tells just a little part of the story.

What is a Phrase?

Now imagine you take out a few toys and put them together, that’s like making a phrase. A phrase is a group of words working together to say something more complete. For example, "a red ball" is a phrase because it uses two words, "red" and "ball", to describe one toy in more detail.

You can think of phrases like a team, each word helps the others do their job better!
