Wind conditions are how strong and directional the wind is at a certain place.
Imagine you're outside on a sunny day, flying your favorite kite. If the wind is gentle, your kite floats slowly and calmly, like when you take a deep breath and blow out a candle. But if the wind is strong, it pushes your kite up high and makes it dance in the air, like when you blow really hard to make a pile of leaves move.
Wind speed tells us how fast the air is moving. It’s like how fast you're running on the playground, slow or fast. We measure it in units called knots, which are like steps per minute.
Wind direction tells us where the wind is coming from. If it's blowing from behind you, it helps push you forward, just like when a friend gives you a gentle nudge while you're running.
Sometimes, the wind can change suddenly, like when you’re playing tag and someone jumps out of nowhere to tackle you! That’s what we call wind gusts, and they make flying kites or riding bikes more exciting.
