What are visual illusions?

Visual illusions are pictures that trick your brain into seeing things that aren’t really there, just like when you look at a shadow and think it’s a real object.

Your brain is like a detective, trying to figure out what's going on in the world. But sometimes, it gets confused by clever shapes or colors, and poof, you see something different than what’s actually there!

How It Works

Imagine you're looking at two lines that are the same length, but they’re placed next to other lines. Your brain might think one line is longer because of how everything fits together. That's a visual illusion, it looks different, but it's not really different.

A Real-Life Example

Think about when you look at a straight road in the distance. It seems like the road gets narrower as it goes on, but that’s just your brain trying to make sense of space! It doesn’t mean the road is shrinking; it's just how perspective works.

Visual illusions are like playful tricks that your brain plays on you, and they’re super fun to explore!
