What are twenty digits?

A digit is just a number from 0 to 9, like the numbers on your fingers!

So when we talk about twenty digits, we're talking about twenty of these single numbers working together to make bigger numbers.

What does it look like?

Think of a digit like a letter in a word. If you write "cat", you use three letters. In the same way, if you write the number 123, you're using three digits: 1, 2, and 3.

Now imagine writing a really long number, something like 9876543210, that’s ten digits!

How many can we use?

If we have twenty digits, it means we’re using twenty of these single numbers to make one big number. It might look like this: 12345678901234567890, that’s twenty digits all working together!

So, whether you're counting toys or writing down really long phone numbers, a digit is just one of the numbers from 0 to 9. And twenty digits means twenty of them! A digit is just a number from 0 to 9, like the numbers on your fingers!

So when we talk about twenty digits, we're talking about twenty of these single numbers working together to make bigger numbers.
