What are tropical or subtropical regions?

Tropical and subtropical regions are places that are usually warm all year round, like a cozy blanket around the Earth.

Tropical regions are like the heart of the Earth, they're near the equator, where the sun shines almost directly overhead. These areas have very hot days and not-so-cold nights, like living in a place where summer never really ends. Think about a beach on a sunny day, that’s tropical!

What makes them special?

In these places, trees are tall, animals are lively, and there's lots of rain, sometimes every day! It's like having a big party all the time.

Subtropical regions are a little further away from the equator. They're like the neighbors of tropical areas, still warm, but not as hot. These places can have both warm and cool seasons, kind of like having a gentle breeze sometimes. Think about a place that has nice, warm summers and mild winters, that's subtropical!

So whether it’s near the equator or just a little away from it, tropical and subtropical regions give you sunny days, lively life, and lots of greenery, almost like living in a happy, warm hug!
