What are triolets?

A triolet is a fun kind of poem that has eight lines and uses just three different rhymes, like a short song that repeats in a clever way.

Imagine you're playing with building blocks, and you have only three colors. You stack them up in a certain order, and then you repeat part of the pattern, it’s like a game of repetition with rhyme!

A triolet has eight lines total, and the first line repeats in both the fourth and eighth lines. The second line repeats in the third and seventh lines. The sixth line is brand new and shows up only once.
