What are tree sounds?

Tree sounds are the noises that trees make when they move or change.

Imagine you're outside on a windy day, and you hear leaves rustling like paper in a breeze, that’s one kind of tree sound. When a branch sways back and forth, it might creak or snap, like a big stick moving inside the tree.

Sometimes, when the wind is really strong, whole parts of a tree can shiver, you might even hear a thump if a heavy leaf falls to the ground. That’s also a tree sound!

You can think of a tree like a giant, living house. The leaves are like windows that chatter when the wind blows outside. The branches are like the arms of the tree, moving and making sounds as they dance with the breeze.

Sometimes, in winter, trees lose all their leaves, but even then, you might hear them creak or groan, just like a house creaks when it’s cold.

So next time you're outside, listen closely. You might be hearing a whole symphony from the trees!
