What are tigers?

Tigers are big, strong animals that live in forests and sometimes near rivers, like your favorite toy dragon might live in a magical cave.

Imagine you have a really big, fluffy cat, but instead of being soft and sleepy, it’s fast, brave, and loves to hunt. That's a tiger! They have stripes on their fur, just like when you draw lines with crayons on paper. These stripes help them hide in the forest while they wait to surprise their food, like deer or wild pigs.

How Tigers Move and Eat

Tigers are silent hunters, they creep up very quietly on their prey before jumping out and catching them. It's like when you sneak up behind your brother to give him a big hug from behind!

They also love to swim, just like you might enjoy splashing in the pool during summer. Some tigers even live near rivers or lakes.

Tigers Are Not All the Same

There are different kinds of tigers, some have more stripes, others are bigger or smaller. But they all share one special thing: they're wild and amazing, just like your favorite adventure stories!
