What are three types?

There are three types of things that help us group and understand stuff better, like how we sort toys or snacks.

Like Sorting Toys

Imagine you have a big box full of different toys: cars, blocks, and dolls. If you want to play with just cars, it helps if all the cars are together. That’s like having types, they help us know what each group is made of.

  1. Cars are one type because they’re all things you can drive.
  2. Blocks are another type because they stack and build.
  3. Dolls are a third type because they’re people we play with.

Like Sorting Snacks

Now imagine you have a snack bag, it has chips, cookies, and candy. Each kind is a different type of snack:

  • Chips crunch when you bite them.
  • Cookies are soft and sweet.
  • Candy melts in your mouth like magic (but we’ll say like syrup instead).

Types help us know what to expect, whether it’s a toy or a snack. Just like how you know which group to pick when you want to build something, eat something, or play with something!
