Modern political parties are like groups of friends who all want to help make a school better, but they have different ideas about how to do it.
Long ago, people didn’t have political parties. It was more like everyone just talked and voted on things by themselves. But as time went on, the school (or country) got bigger, and more people had different opinions about what should be done. So some friends started hanging out together because they liked the same ideas, like one group wanted to build a new playground first, while another thought fixing the broken swings was more important.
How They Grew Bigger
Over time, these groups of friends became bigger and stronger. They had names and rules, just like how your class might have different teams for sports. Some people even started working together to make sure their ideas won, like forming a club that helps everyone in the group get chosen as leaders.
Today, we have big political parties all over the world, each with its own special way of thinking and helping people achieve what they want, just like your school has different groups who help decide what happens next.
