Imagine you have two friends, one is a dog, and the other is a chicken. They both can keep warm even when it's cold outside. But if you look closely, they do things differently. Dogs give birth to babies that are already small and soft, just like humans. Chickens lay eggs, which hatch into baby chickens. Mammals usually have hair or fur, while birds have feathers. Also, mammals often drink milk from their mothers when they’re young, but birds don’t do that. So even though both groups are warm-blooded and live on land, they're very different in some ways.
