What are support networks?

A support network is like having a team of friends and family who help you when things get tough.

Imagine you're building a tower with blocks. Sometimes it tips over, and that’s okay! But if you have someone nearby to catch it or give you more blocks, you can keep going. That's what a support network does, it helps you stay strong when life feels wobbly.

Like having your own superhero squad

Think of your support network like your favorite superheroes. When you're feeling sad or scared, they come running to help you feel better. They might be your parents who give you a big hug, your teacher who gives you extra time to finish a test, or even your best friend who shares their snack with you when you’re hungry.

It’s not just about being helped, it's about helping others too

Sometimes, you're the one who helps someone else. That’s part of having a support network too! You might help your little brother tie his shoes, or you might cheer on your friend during their race. Being part of a support network means everyone looks out for each other, like a group of friends who all have each other's backs.
