What are stars and stripes?

Stars and stripes are flags that show who you are or where you're from, like a special badge for a group of people.

Imagine you’re in a big playground with lots of kids, and each kid wears a different colored shirt. If someone asks you, “Who are you?” you can just point to your shirt. That’s kind of what the stars and stripes do for countries.
