What are smaller parts?

Smaller parts are like building blocks you can take apart from bigger things.

Imagine you have a toy car. It’s fun to drive, but if it breaks, you might want to see what makes it go. If you open it up, you’ll find smaller parts, like wheels, axles, and even tiny pieces of plastic that hold everything together. These are the parts inside the bigger thing.

Like a Sandwich

Think about a sandwich. It’s made of bread, cheese, and maybe some meat or veggies in between. But if you take it apart, you can see each smaller part: one piece of bread, then the cheese, then another piece of bread. Each of these parts helps make the whole sandwich tasty and full.

Like a Puzzle

Sometimes, smaller parts fit together to make something bigger, just like puzzle pieces. If you have a big picture made of many small puzzle pieces, each piece is a smaller part that makes up the whole image when they all click together.

So next time you take apart something fun, see if you can find its smaller parts hiding inside!
