What are servants?

A servant is someone who helps another person do things they need to do every day.

Imagine you have a toy robot that needs help putting on its shoes in the morning, that’s what a servant does, but for people. A servant is like a helper who lives with or works for someone else and takes care of tasks so their boss can focus on other things.

Think of your parents at home: sometimes one parent helps the other get ready in the morning, that’s like being a servant! The person helping is the servant, and the person getting help is the master or employer. Just like how you might help your brother tie his shoes, a servant helps their master with chores, cooking, cleaning, or even running errands.

Some people have servants because they’re very busy, maybe they work all day and need someone to take care of home tasks. It’s kind of like having a personal helper who makes life easier, just like how you might ask your friend to help you build a block tower!
