What are semaphore systems?

A semaphore system is like a special traffic light that helps people or things know when it's their turn to go.

Imagine you're playing a game with your friends in the hallway of your school. There’s only one door to get to the playground, and everyone wants to go out at the same time. That would be chaos! So, someone decides to use semaphore signs, like little flags or lights, to tell people when they can go through the door.

How it works

When the first person sees a green light (or a raised flag), they know it's their turn to walk through the door. The others have to wait until the light changes to red (or the flag goes down). Once that person is done, the light turns green again for the next one.

It’s like having a special traffic light just for your game, making sure everyone gets a fair chance to play without running into each other.
