A self-managing team is a group of people who work together and also make their own decisions about how to do things.
Imagine you're playing with your friends in the park. You all decide what game to play, who will be on which side, and when to take breaks, without needing someone else to tell you what to do. That's like being part of a self-managing team!
How It Works
In a regular team, sometimes a grown-up or a leader tells everyone what to do. But in a self-managing team, the people on the team decide how they want to work together.
- They might choose who will be in charge of counting points.
- They might agree on when to stop playing and go home.
- They even might come up with new rules if they think the game isn’t fair.
Just like you and your friends can make a game better by working together, self-managing teams can make work more fun, because everyone gets to have a say.
