What are saturdays?

Saturdays are like having a special day off from school that happens once every week.

Imagine you have a big calendar on your wall, it's full of days, and every week, there are seven of them. On most of those days, you go to school or do chores. But one day stands out: Saturday. It’s like the calendar gives you a little wink and says, “You don’t have to be busy today.”

On Saturdays, people often do things they enjoy, like playing outside, watching cartoons, or going to the park. Some kids even get to sleep in later than usual because Saturday is a day where being lazy feels more like fun.

Think of it this way: if your school days are like climbing stairs all day, then Saturday is like sliding down a slide, easy and enjoyable!

And just like you look forward to ice cream after dinner, many people look forward to Saturday because it’s their favorite kind of day off.
