What are receivers?

A receiver is like a special friend that helps you hear or see messages sent from far away.

Imagine you have a toy phone, and your best friend is talking to you across the room. You can hear them because sound travels through the air. Now imagine they are on the other side of town, how would you still be able to talk? That’s where a receiver comes in!

How Receivers Work

Think of a receiver as a kind of super listener. It catches messages that have been sent through wires, radio waves, or even satellites. Like when you watch TV, the receiver in your TV catches the signal from the broadcast tower and turns it into pictures and sound.

Real-Life Example

If you use a walkie-talkie with your friend, each of you has a receiver inside. When your friend speaks, their walkie-talkie sends the message through the air, and your receiver picks it up so you can hear them clearly, even if you're far apart!

Receivers are everywhere, helping us talk, watch shows, and connect with people all over the world!
