What are rebels?

A rebel is someone who says, “I don’t want to do what everyone else is doing!”

Imagine you’re at a party where all the kids are playing tag. You really like tag, but today, you feel like drawing instead. So you grab a crayon and start drawing on the floor. Everyone looks surprised because they were all running around, but you stayed still and made something new. That’s what a rebel does, they do things their own way, even if others are doing something else.

Why Rebels Happen

Sometimes people get tired of doing the same thing over and over. Maybe they feel like they’re being told “you must be quiet” or “you must sit still.” A rebel says, “No, I want to move, I want to shout, I want to dance!” It’s like when you’re asked to eat your vegetables but you’d rather have a snack instead.

Rebels Can Make Big Changes

If enough people decide they don’t want to follow the rules anymore, things can change. A rebel might start something new that others join in on, just like how one kid drawing on the floor could turn into everyone drawing together!
