What are random or unwanted signals?

Random or unwanted signals are extra sounds or messages that pop up when you're trying to listen to something important.

Imagine you're trying to hear your favorite song on a radio, but there’s a loud car horn in the background. That car horn is like a random or unwanted signal, it’s not part of the music, and it makes it harder for you to enjoy the song.

Like Static on a TV

Sometimes, when you turn on an old TV, you see static, which looks like little dots moving around. That static is also a kind of random signal. It's not part of the show or movie, it just shows up because there are other signals in the air that your TV picks up.

Why Signals Happen

These extra sounds or images can happen when something else is sending out signals at the same time as what you're trying to hear or see. They’re like unexpected guests who come into a party and start talking loudly, it's hard for everyone to hear the main conversation!

Sometimes, we can use special tools to filter out these random signals so we can enjoy the thing we want to listen to or watch.
