What are random events?

A random event is something that happens without you being able to predict it exactly, like when you pick a toy from a bag and don’t know which one you’ll get.

Imagine you have a bag full of different colored marbles: red, blue, green, and yellow. You can't see inside the bag, so when you reach in and pull out one marble, you might get any color, it's completely random! There’s no way to know for sure which one you’ll pick until you take it out.

Like Rolling a Dice

Think about rolling a dice. Each side has a number from 1 to 6. When you roll the dice, it bounces around and lands on a number, but you can’t tell which one it will be before it stops. That’s another random event!

You might guess that it could land on 3 or 4, but it could just as easily land on 1 or 6. It's like picking a marble from a bag, but with numbers and a bit of wiggling.

So, whether you're picking marbles or rolling dice, random events are things that happen in ways you can’t always predict, they surprise you every time!
