What are proximity of services?

Proximity of services means how close services are to where people need them.

Imagine you're playing at a park and you get thirsty. If there's a service, like a little stand selling drinks, right next to the swings, that’s close proximity. But if it’s all the way across the park, near the slide, that’s far proximity. Being close makes things easier and faster.

What Makes Proximity Important?

  • Time saved: When services are nearby, you don’t have to walk far or wait long.
  • More people use them: If a drink stand is near the swings, more kids will stop by during their playtime.

Think about your favorite toy store. If it’s right around the corner from school, you’ll probably go there often. But if it's on the other side of town, you might only visit once in a while.

Proximity of services works just like that, it helps people get what they need with less effort!
