What are postal workers?

Postal workers are the people who help letters and packages travel from one place to another, just like helpers in a big game of hide-and-seek.

Imagine you have a letter that needs to get from your house to your friend’s house. But instead of running there yourself, you give it to someone else, a postal worker! They take the letter on a special journey, using trucks, bikes, and sometimes even big red trucks called mail vans.

Postal workers sort letters like pieces of a puzzle. Some might stack them neatly in boxes, while others might ride their bikes through the neighborhood to deliver them directly to your friend’s mailbox. They make sure every letter goes to the right person, just like how you make sure your toys end up in the right toy box.

Sometimes, they work at big buildings called post offices, where people drop off letters and packages all day long. Other times, they're out on the streets, making sure everything gets delivered safely, just like a friendly neighbor who helps you with your homework!
