What are possible paths?

Possible paths are like different ways to get from one place to another, just like when you choose between taking the stairs or the elevator in a building.

Imagine you're playing with your toy car on a floor full of roads, and you want to reach your favorite toy. You can go straight ahead, take a left turn, or even loop around the room if that feels fun. Each way you pick is a possible path, it’s just one of many ways to get from where you are to where you want to be.

Like choosing a route on a map

If you're drawing a map with crayons, and you want to go from your house to the park, you can draw a straight line, or you can make a zigzag path, both are possible paths. The park is still the same place, but how you get there depends on which road you pick.

Or like picking different flavors of ice cream

Think about choosing ice cream: vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry. Each flavor is a different choice, just like each possible path is a different way to get somewhere. You might not know which one will be the best until you try them all!Possible paths are like different ways to get from one place to another, just like when you choose between taking the stairs or the elevator in a building.
