What are pokemon cards?

Pokemon cards are fun little pieces of paper that let you play a game with your friends using imaginary creatures called pokemon.

Like a Trading Game

Imagine you and your friend each have a special deck of cards, like trading cards you get from a store. Each card has a picture of a pokemon, like Pikachu or Charmander, and shows how strong it is in the game. You take turns playing your cards to battle, it’s like a little game fight where you try to beat each other’s pokemon using points and powers.

Like Collecting Stickers

Some kids love collecting these cards because they’re like stickers you can trade with friends. Just like how you might collect favorite characters from your toys or cartoons, you can collect different kinds of pokemon, making your deck stronger and more interesting to play with.

You can even make up your own rules or play with other people, it's a game that grows as you get better at it!
