Inside the Tiny House
Inside every plant cell, there’s a nucleus, which is like the brain of the house, it tells everything what to do. There are also chloroplasts, which are like little green solar panels that help plants turn sunlight into food. And there’s a cell wall, which is like a tough, outside wall around the house, it keeps the plant strong and protects it from getting squished.
The Cell Wall
The cell wall is especially cool because it's what makes plant cells different from animal cells. Think of it like wearing a superhero suit, it gives plants extra strength so they can stand tall in the wind or hold up heavy leaves.
Every time you eat a piece of fruit or take a bite out of a sandwich, you’re eating plant cells doing their job!
Examples
