Performance metrics and limitations are like how fast you can run and how tired you get when you play all day.
Imagine you're racing your friend in the park. The speed you run is a performance metric, it tells us how good you are at running. But if you run too long, you might start to feel out of breath or sore, those are your limitations, showing how much you can do before you need to rest.
What Are Performance Metrics?
Think of performance metrics like the numbers on a video game: they show how well something is doing. For example, when you're playing a game and it says "You ran 10 meters in 5 seconds," that’s telling you your speed, one kind of performance metric.
What Are Limitations?
Limitations are like when you’re really tired after running all day. You might say, "I can't run anymore!" That's because your body has a limitation, it can only do so much before it needs to stop and rest.
So, performance metrics tell us how well something is doing, and limitations tell us how far we can go before we need to take a break.
Examples
- A car's speedometer shows how fast it goes, this is a performance metric. But if the engine can't handle more than 120 mph, that's a limitation.
