What are paths?

A path is like a special road that helps you get from one place to another inside a computer.

Imagine you're playing with building blocks. You want to go from your bedroom to the living room, but there's no door between them. So you make a little ramp or a bridge made of blocks, that’s your way to move from one spot to another. A path in a computer is like that ramp or bridge: it helps things (like numbers, letters, or even pictures) travel from one place to another inside the computer.

How Paths Work

Think of your toy box as a special place where all your toys live. If you want to take out your favorite dinosaur, you follow a path, like a map, that shows you exactly how to get there. In the computer world, these paths are used by programs to find files or send messages.

Sometimes, you can have more than one path to go from one place to another, just like you might take different routes to reach your friend's house. That’s why computers can be so clever, they know which path is best for the job!
