What are particles?

Particles are like tiny building blocks that make up everything around us.

Imagine you have a big pile of Legos, each Lego is a block, and together they can build houses, cars, or even spaceships. In the same way, particles are the tiny "Legos" that build all matter in the world.

Like Sand in Your Sandbox

Think about playing in a sandbox. If you look closely at the sand, it’s made of lots of little grains. Each grain is like a particle, and when they're all together, they make the soft, sandy surface you love to play on.

Just like how different kinds of Legos can be used for different things, there are many types of particles, some are tiny and light, others are bigger and heavier.

Building Blocks in Motion

When you run through the sandbox, you're actually moving billions of these particles around! They might not look like much, but together they make everything from your favorite toys to the ground under your feet.

So next time you're playing with Legos or digging in the sand, remember, you’re working with the same kind of tiny, powerful building blocks that make up the whole universe!
