What are paratroopers?

Paratroopers are soldiers who jump from airplanes to land far away from where they started.

Imagine you're playing a game of tag, but instead of running around on the playground, you're jumping out of a sky-high slide and landing in a different part of the park. That's kind of what paratroopers do!

Paratroopers use big, fluffy parachutes, which act like giant pillows to help them land safely when they jump from high up.

How They Work

When a paratrooper jumps out of an airplane, they fall down really fast, it’s like when you slide down the biggest slide at the playground. But then their parachute opens, and whoosh! It slows them down so they can land gently on the ground.

Sometimes, a group of paratroopers all jump together from one airplane to surprise people in a new place, just like how your friends might all jump out of a big slide at the same time to catch you by surprise!

Paratroopers are like superheroes who use sky-high slides and giant pillows to land where they need to be.
