What are other stimuli?

Other stimuli are just different kinds of things that can catch your attention or make you feel something, like when you're playing and something new happens.

Imagine you’re in a park, running around with your friends. You hear the sound of a bell, that’s one kind of stimulus. But then, all of a sudden, a big dog runs by! That’s another stimulus, it might make you laugh, jump back, or run faster. So, other stimuli are like different surprises or changes in your environment that can affect how you play, feel, or think.

What makes them special?

  • Some stimuli come from sounds, like a loud crash or your favorite song.
  • Others come from things you touch, like the soft grass under your feet or the rough bark of a tree.
  • You might even notice smells, like freshly cut grass or cookies baking in the kitchen.

Each one is a new way to experience the world, just like how different flavors make eating more fun!
