What are native american cultures?

Native American cultures are groups of people who lived on the land we now call America long before many other people came.

Imagine you have a big toy box with different kinds of toys, some are cars, some are blocks, and others are dolls. Each toy is special in its own way, just like each Native American culture has its own ways of living, traditions, and stories.

Like Different Families

Some groups lived near the ocean and fished for food, while others lived in forests and hunted animals. Just like how your family might have different hobbies, maybe one likes drawing, another likes cooking, each Native American group had things they loved doing.

Talking to Each Other

They also used special ways to talk to each other and share their stories. Some drew pictures on rocks or trees, while others told stories out loud around a fire, kind of like how you might tell your favorite story at bedtime!

Each culture is like a special toy in the big toy box, different, but all important.
