What are multiverse models?

A multiverse model is like having many different playgrounds all connected together, each one can have its own rules and toys.

Imagine you're playing on a big swing set. That’s your universe. But there are other swing sets nearby, some with slides, some with monkey bars, and some even with trampolines. Each of those is another universe, and all of them together make up the multiverse.

Like Different Playgrounds

In a multiverse model, scientists think that our universe might be just one of many, like one swing set among many others in a big park. Some models say these universes are next to each other, while others imagine they’re far apart or even overlapping like puzzle pieces.

Why It Matters

Scientists use these ideas to explain things we can’t always see, like why the sky is dark at night or how some parts of space behave differently. It’s like having a special map that helps you understand all the different kinds of playgrounds in the big park, and maybe even find new ones!
