What is a sentence?
A sentence is like a small story, it tells us something and usually ends with a dot (.) or an exclamation mark (!). For example: "I love ice cream." That’s one sentence.
Now imagine you have a million of those little stories, all written down. It would be like having a million toy boxes full of tiny messages from friends, each message is a sentence.
Why millions of sentences matter
If we put all those sentences together, they can make big books or even whole websites! Think about your favorite storybook, if you had a million versions of it, that would be like having a million happy little stories all lined up in a row. That’s what millions of sentences look like, a really long and fun collection of tiny messages. A million is like having a thousand toy boxes full of toys, and we're talking about a lot of sentences.
Imagine you have a big book that has millions of sentences in it, like the number of stars in the sky. That means there are so many sentences, they could fill up hundreds of libraries!
