What are military failures?

A military failure is when soldiers or armies don’t do what they were supposed to do and end up losing a battle or war.

Imagine you're playing a game of tag with your friends, and you all agree that if one person gets tagged, the whole team loses. But then, instead of running fast and hiding behind bushes like you said you would, you just stand there and let yourself get tagged. That’s like a military failure, you didn’t follow the plan, and your whole team lost because of it.

What Makes a Military Failure Happen?

Sometimes soldiers don't know what to do or are too scared to fight. Maybe they ran out of food or got caught in a storm. It's like if you forgot your shoes and had to run barefoot, you'd be slower, and maybe someone else would catch you easier.

Other times, it’s not the soldiers’ fault at all! The people who planned the battle might have made bad choices, like sending too few people to fight or choosing the wrong place for a big fight. That's like telling your friends to play tag in a huge empty field, there’s no hiding spots, so it's easier for someone to win.

In both cases, everyone ends up sad because they didn’t win the game (or battle) like they hoped they would.
